Cicero interprets fate (fatum) and religion in the same way, i. e. denying any superstition. After Cicero the main component of religion is divination (forecast, doreseeing) is coming out from the god, the fate and the nature. After Cicero’s definition, fatum is a Greek version of heimarmеnе, which is the original reason of everything that took place in the past, is taking place in the present time and will take place in future. However, to confirm that everything originates from the fate is the superstition, because some accidental events, like fortuna, can take place and they have no divine or natural origin. No one can foresee these accidents. The recognition of the original reasons must not transfer the human being into a slave of fate.
